Since 2000.

2. Are there any employer costs to Basic Health Insurance?
Basic Health Insurance is cost free to the employer. Premiums can be entirely employee paid. All customized printed materials (in our standard colors) and shipping are also provided at no charge.

3. Can Basic Health Insurance be offered under a Section 125?
Yes. An employer can elect to offer Basic Health Insurance under a Section 125.

4. What enrollment methods are available for Basic Health Insurance?
Employers can elect to use manual paper enrollment, Web enrollment, live benefit specialists in the enrollment center, or any combination of methods. All methods are offered at no charge to the employer.

5. Is there any individual company experience rating?
No. All insureds become part of a nationwide multiple employer trust. This "pooled" method allows Group Health Insurance to spread the risk. As such, the plan remains very stable in its design and pricing.

6. What about employees who miss premium payments due to lack of hours?
The premium payment and collection method is totally unique to Basic Health Insurance. There is no billing. Employers need to remit only the premiums collected and are not held liable for premiums they are unable to collect from employees. This method assures that individual insureds do not have coverage suspended due to a missed payment. Claims continue to be processed as normal until Group Health Insurance is notified of coverage termination from the employer.

7. Do you have Spanish speaking representatives?
Yes. Our Customer Service Department is staffed with Spanish speaking representatives.

8. How long before Open Enrollment does Group Health Insurance need to begin the rollout process?
Group Health Insurance requests at least four weeks prior to Open Enrollment in order to begin the process. This allows time for the approval of customized printed materials, testing of electronic reporting, shipping, and announcing to the field that a benefit program is coming.
